THE JANMA STHAL OF MAHARAJJI

Akbarpur is a beautiful and quiet village in Firozabad district in Uttar Pradesh. It is the birth place of Maharajji. It is located at a distance of 42 kms. from Agra and about 100 kms. from Vrindavan. It is at a distance of 1 km from the main highway to Firozabad (a turn near the 8 km milestone on this road).

This place has a special significance as it is the birth place of Maharajji. In December 2000, 'Pran Pratishtha' for a temple was done. The site chosen for the purpose was the place where Maharajji was born. In January 2001, a three day Inauguration Ceremony was held dedicating 22 murtis at a temple in this village. Over 20,000 persons were fed Maharajji's prasad at a wonderful bhandara.

That energy continues now every year. The bhandara at Akbarpur has become very important moreso because it is the birthplace of Maharajji. People come in thousands to take prasad here. It takes place on Maharajji's birthday by the lunar calendar i.e. on Shukla Paksh Ashtmi in the month of Margsheersh.

Not far away from the temple is the parental house of Maharajji. There is a small 'kutiya' where he used to stay when he used to come to the village. This house has been converted into an ashram.

To help the village develop many programmes are being undertaken by the temple management. One is a school for girls with the name "Shri Baba Neeb Karori Balika Vidyalaya." The other programme is of a sewing centre to teach sewing to ladies to make them self-independent.

Shri Baba Neeb Karori Balika Vidyalaya

The school was opened by the inspiration of Maharajji in July, 2004. It is located opposite to the temple and adjacent to the 'Daak Bangalia' (old post office). Presently the school os providing primary education (upto Class 8th). However with every passing year, classes will be added. Neeb Karori Baba educational society provides free uniform to all the students along with all the relevant text books.

The society plans to extend the school premises for the classes and the laboratories. All this would not be possible without the active co-operation of the devotees. The devotees can help in various ways like:
1. Providing books and uniforms for the students
2. Sponsoring the education of one or more students for a year or more
3. Donation can be made towards: (i) Extension of the school building, (ii) Procurement of computers, (iii) Setting up of laboratories
4. Any other help towards imparting good education.

Sewing Training Centre for Women

A sewing training centre for women is being run by the temple management in the 'Daak Bangalia'. The response has been good and women even from the neighbouring villages are joining in.
